Details of new releases and other news

Version 1.1 of the transaction import utility has been released. The new version enables you to carry out a stock check update quickly by using the new stock check csv file creation option.

Version 7.16 of The Shop System has been released and contains the following changes.

New features:

• Added new feature to allow users to use receipt printers.
• Added option to allow users of till receipt printers to reprint receipts.
• Goods in screen now defaults to todays date and default purchase price.
• New 'Save and New' option added to the 'Item Details' screen. This allows you to save the current item and create a new one using the same details.
• New "Variants" tab added to the item products screen. This makes setting up and maintaining item variants like size, colour, weight etc easier.
• Changed system to allow returns to be processed through till screen.
• Added "Tax Rate ID", "Tax Rate", "Default Retail Price" and "Default Selling Price" to "Transaction Export".
• Transaction export changed to output "Sales Type" as "SALES ORDER" or "PURCHASE ORDER" when the transation is linked to a sales or purchase order.
• From and to dates added to the transaction export screen, with override.
• New "Suppress Receipts" option added to "Sale Types" to allow receipts to be suppressed during sale confirmation process.
• New selection screen added to deal with situations where an item code matches a bar code.
• Supplier maintenance change so that when adding a new supplier a numeric code is generated for the new supplier.
• New "Stock" level column added to the till screen to show the item stock level. This can be hidden/displayed via an option on the setup screen.
• Added "Transaction" date picker to "Sale Confirm" screen and a new option to the program settings screen to control if it is visible or not.
• New sales report by selectable date range.

Minor fixes and adjustments:

• Methods of payment and sale types separated from setup screen. Allows for more options.
• Amount Tendered added to sales detail table in order to make it available for receipt printers.
• Sales report price column changed to show price x qty sold.
• ID column made visible on the 'Sale Types' and 'Methods of Payment' screens to aid users of the new transaction import utility being developed.

Version 7.15 of The Shop System has been released and contains the following changes.

• Barcode added to item export and import.
• Price list export filename saved for future use.
• Supplier name added to transaction export.
• Contact details added to till receipt if contact is selected prior/during sale.
• New "Sales Reports" added showing "Current Month Item Sales" and "Last Month Item Sales".
• New "Stock Valuation (as at date)" report added.
• Tidied up import and export fields in relation to quotes.
• Added new "Ignore Qty on Hand" option to Item import.
• Stock valuation report corrected to ignore transactions after the days date.
• Tidied up some report headings.
• Some minor fixes and adjustments.

Version 7.14 of The Shop System has been released and contains the following changes.

• Login screen changed to treat a blank password entry the same as if the cancel button had been clicked.
• New button added to product details screen to duplicate item code as barcode.
• New check added to goods in screen to see if barcode has been entered rather than itemcode. If so the item code is picked by using the barcode.
• Method of Payment and Sale Type added to transaction export.
• "CTRL+A" Keyboard shortcut added to the "Item", "Qty", "Price" and "Comment" fields on the till screen.
• Some minor fixes and adjustments.

Version 7.12 of The Shop System has been released and contains the following changes.

• Added new "TAX Heading" setting to setup screen. This enables users to change the text used to describe the tax details depending on their requirements. e.g. VAT, Sales Tax or GST.
• Various report layouts tidied up.
• Search screen speed increased.
• Third party software updated.
• Some minor fixes and adjustments
