Item Search facilities

You can use the item search system from either the till screen or the admin area to locate item details quickly.

While adding an item to a sale, or from the item select screen, you can use the search screen to find an item. On the search screen enter the required search string (the name of the item you are looking for), select if the system should search the item code or description and press search. A list of items matching the entered search string will be displayed. If you double click on an item the item code will be entered automatically into the item box of the previous screen. To see a list of all items, leave the search string box empty and press the search button.

*[string] This will list all items that have the [string] at the end.
[string]* This will list all items that start with [string].
*[string]* This will list all items with [string] anywhere.

If a customer has been selected on the till screen then the prices shown on the search screen will reflect any special prices setup for that customer.
